Dáil hears need for increase local childcare facilities

Earlier this year, a meeting in Boyle heard that 77 per cent of children aged under 4 are currently unable to access childcare services.

The Dáil has heard the need for increased early learning and childcare facilities locally.

Earlier this year, a meeting in Boyle heard that 77 per cent of children aged under 4 are currently unable to access childcare services.

The meeting, hosted by Boyle Community Childcare Committee highlighted the lack of childcare in the town.

It's hoped that the Government revisit the Building Blocks Extension Grant Scheme, which supports extensions and new premises.
