A councillor who once proposed demolishing a landmark building in Longford has welcomed its sale. Cllr Gerry Hagan raised a motion last year calling for the demolition of the Providers building. It followed a proposal to sell the building to a property developer who planned on using it for social housing.
It was confirmed earlier this month, however, that the building will now be sold to the Bellview Clinics Group. Cllr Hagan says he's pleased the sale of the building has now been agreed:
