A local councillor has welcomed the findings of a study which shows Roscommon as the safest county to live in. According to Galway-based estate agent and auctioneer Long & Co, Roscommon is Ireland's safest county in which to raise a family.
Leitrim and Longford, meanwhile, were also included in the top ten. Independent Councillor Laurence Fallon says Roscommon shouldn't take being top of the list for granted:
