A local councillor says Public Realm Enhancement works will be positive for the economy in Strokestown.
There were protests last summer over the €8 million project that's planned for the town.
Several residents and businesses have been concerned that car parking in the town will be reduced considerably.
However, Independent Councillor Tom Crosby says there will be adequate parking available:
