Illegal dumping, and dog fouling are among the most pressing litter problems in Co. Leitrim. It follows comments made by councillors at a meeting which set out Leitrim County Council's Litter Management Plan for 2025. Dumped mattresses, cigarette litter and abandoned cars emerged as key issues across the county. Councillor Gary Prior says more work needs to be done to prevent littering in the area:
