A former general election candidate has clarified comments she made over the future of smaller stops on the Sligo to Dublin rail line.
In December, Sligo Cllr Marie Casserly proposed options such as express services while retaining critical local access points.
At this month's meeting of the Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District meeting, representatives moved to write to Iarnród Éireann objecting to any plans that might see trains skip smaller stations.
This includes Dromod, with councillor's outlining its use by commuters and its importance to residents and workers.
