The cost of electricity is set to rise for 180,000 Pre Pay Power customers, with increases planned for their 60,000 gas customers next month.
It's the first increase by the energy supplier in the past three years.
Customers can expect to pay an additional €170 a year, with electricity increasing by an estimated 8.8 per cent and gas going up by 10.6 per cent.
Aontú Leader and Meath West TD Peadar Tóibín is calling out the government, saying they need to take action to prevent increases in people's bills.
