Castleplunkett woman Ruth Connolly-Conboy is set to fill the vacant seat left by Fine Gael Senator Gareth Scahill following his election to the Seanad earlier this year. Connolly-Conboy won last nights selection convention held at Tully's Hotel in Castlerea.
She will officially become a councillor at the next Roscommon County Council meeting on April 28th. Connolly-Conboy says she's looking forward to working hard for the constituency:
