Commercial rates waiver extended until after March

Local authorities are to receive an extended commercial rates waiver to support businesses impacted by the pandemic.

The waiver, which will cost 160 million euro, will target businesses in a number of industries - including hospitality, childcare, travel and entertainment.

The Government say the package will be more focused than the previous nine month waiver and will be kept under review beyond the first quarter of this year.
