Counties in the Shannonside region will continue to endure bitterly cold temperatures.
A status yellow low temperature-ice warning was issued for county Longford earlier today.
The alert is in place from 11pm tonight until 8am tomorrow morning.
A number of other counties, including Westmeath, have also been issued with the warning.
People are being advised that there could be animal welfare issues if they're kept outdoors and motorists may face difficult travelling conditions.
