Longford Town suffered their second successive defeat as Cobh Ramblers scored a 2-0 win in St. Colman’s Park.
Town went one down on 19 minutes, Conor Drinan tapping a low cross into the box home as Town had huffed and puffed to no avail.
Aodh Dervin came close to levelling it bang on half-time the midfielder broke through the defence, his low shot just skips past the post.
Cobh had the best of the second half chances and Stephen O' Leary made it 2-0 on 70 minutes his back heeled effort sliding past Lee Stacey.
The result leaves Town in fifth place on 13 points six points behind leaders Cabinteely.
