A Roscommon Municipal District meeting taking place today is expected to approve a civic reception request for a local woman and school football team.
Councillor Larry Brennan had submitted the request, asking for Pauline Lavin to be honoured at the next civic reception.
The Strokestown woman won an All-Ireland title at the recent National Ploughing Championships in the Ladies Joy-Digging Junior Class.

Roscommon CBS senior football team is also expected to be honoured at the next civic reception.
The team claimed the All-Ireland Schools B title back in May with a four point victory over Patrician High School.
