This month's meeting of the Carrick MD has heard of the stark reality in terms of childcare locally.
Currently, there are no crèche places for children aged zero to one in the MD, 10 for those one to two while those up to two years and six months see 24 places.
The local authority have been called to identify any building or sites which may be suitable for facility.
