Child taken to hospital following collision in Longford town

A child was taken to hospital following a collision in Longford town this afternoon.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision near St. Mel's Cathedral shortly before 1pm.

The incident involved a pedestrian and a car.
The pedestrian, a female child, was taken to Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
Investigations are ongoing.
