A Roscommon senator says a parent lost 18 hours of childcare a week when their child was diagnosed with additional needs - but they're paying the same.
Gareth Scahill says the mother then had to cut her own working-hours to care for the child.
He says this shows some parents of kids with additional needs are paying more for childcare - but receiving less.
