An intact set of chain mail found in Longford earlier this year is still undergoing verification at the National Museum of Ireland.
The discovery, which is reportedly 800 years old, was donated to Granard Knight's and Conquests centre in August for display at the Norman Heritage attraction.
The armor is undergoing examinations including including X-rays, comparative material analysis and consultation with historical experts.

The hauberk resembles a vest made out of woven metal, and was discovered at an unknown location in County Longford.
The museum is due to release a full report on the chain mail next year.
