Only 5 per cent will ask someone for a receipt to exchange an unwanted gift, according to a survey from the consumer watchdog.

Most people say they won't ask someone for the receipt, if they're given a Christmas present they don't want.

The CCPC says almost one-in-five donate Christmas unwanted presents to charity or fundraising events.
