A Castlecoote native played a central role in bringing the first-ever TEDx event to Athlone last week.
MaryJo Neilan, marketing coordinator with TUS Athlone, was co-organiser of the landmark event at the Dean Crowe Theatre.
Speakers on the night included Midlands-North-West MEP Ciaran Mullooly, radio presenter Dave Duke, and vascular surgeon Dr Niamh Hynes.
