Carrick-on-Shannon's TidyTowns award will boost local tourism

Carrick-on-Shannon will get a major tourism boost from winning the TidyTowns.

That's according to north Roscommon councillor Seán Moylan, after Carrick picked up the overall award in the SuperValu competition on Friday.

It's the first time the Shannonside town picked up the award.

Councillor Moylan says it's a big positive for Carrick.
