Calls to halt livestock moves amid growing bluetongue crisis

More than 40 confirmed cases were found in the Bangor area last week.

There are calls for livestock to be banned from moving from the North to the Republic due to the bluetongue crisis.

The North's Department of Agriculture is responding to a new suspected case of Bluetongue detected on a farm near Greyabbey in County Down.

It follows more than 40 confirmed cases found in the Bangor area last week.

Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly says action is needed to make sure it doesn't spread to the Republic - as he told Eoghan Murphy:
