A Longford Councillor is calling for urgent action to be taken at a disused piggery in Newtowncashel.
Fine Gael's Martin Skelly raised the issue at this week's Ballymahon Municipal District meeting.
He says financial assistance is required to prevent a major enviromental disaster in the area.
