A Longford Senator says the upgrade of the rail network is equally as important as the upgrade of the N4.
Fianna Fáil Senator Joe Flaherty spoke in the Seanad last week during a discussion on the All-Island Rail Review.
He's says it's critical an hourly rail service between Longford and Dublin is implemented by 2027.
