A Carrick-on-Shannon councillor is calling for videos to be put on social media of people suspected of illegal dumping.
Sinn Féin's Cormac Flynn says there's been a rise in the crime in Co Leitrim recently.
He says dumping is taking place on rural roads and the outskirts of town - with furniture and mattresses among the items discarded.

He's calling on Leitrim County Council to develop a strategy to deter the practice:
