There are calls for an expert group to be established to look into the 'alarming rise' in cocaine and alcohol use in Co Roscommon. Ballaghaderreen councillor Micheál Frain will make the call at Monday's meeting of Roscommon County Council.
It's after Roscommon coroner, Brian O'Connor, said he had dealt with three cocaine-related inquests in the space of a month. Councillor Frain wants Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan to give the go-ahead for the expert group:
