There are calls for dedicated leave to be brought in for women and couples who are undergoing fertility treatment, or a miscarriage.
The proposals by the Labour Party are due to be discussed in the Seanad tomorrow.
The party says couples are forced to use annual leave if they're affected by an early miscarriage or are undergoing reproductive treatment.
