Just under €30,000 will cover the enhancement of Castlecoote’s Gone Fishing.

It follows a significant drop in interest locally and the impact on the tourism sector in the county.

There have been calls for the removal of coarse and pike fishing licence fees on the River Suck in County Roscommon.
It follows a significant drop in interest locally and the impact on the tourism sector in the county.

Councillors Emer Kelly and Domnick Connolly have urged Roscommon County Council to contact Inland Fisheries in relation to the matter.
They raised the issue at the recent meeting of the local authority and received cross-Chamber support.
Cllr Domnick Connolly says the issue was raised by a local angler who's involved in bringing fishing tourists to the county:
