A local councillor is encouraging one and all to celebrate Africa Day next month.
The annual celebrations will be taking place across thirty-one local authorities and aims to honour and recognise the work of African communities.
Africa Day was established in 1963 to mark the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity, and has been celebrated in Longford since 2021.
A day packed with family-friendly activities, music, and dancing can be expected in Longford on May 25th.
Fianna Fáil councillor Uruemu Adejinmi explained why it is important to keep Africa Day alive locally.
