A Roscommon Councillor is calling for an access point to be made on the River Suck in Castlerea.
Councillor Paschal Fitsmaurice says there's currently no entrance to the river in the town which runs into the River Francis.
The issue is being raised by the local Civil Defence who say it's challenging to enter the water when responding to search and rescue calls.

The Casterea native hopes to progress the project with the support of Roscommon County Council.
