Cabinet signs off on new €75 million funding package for An Post

A local TD and postmaster says it's crucial to sustain the network.

Cabinet has today signed off on €75 million in funding to support the postal network over the next five years. The allocation had been announced in the Budget and represents an increase of €5 million per year. It's been described as a crucial support for An Post which will help to prevent further post office closures. Speaking on Let's Talk today, Fine Gael TD and Ballinalee postmaster Micheál Carrigy says it will help to sustain local communities:
