Ten Roscommon politicians wrote to Roscommon County Council to seek a new plan for Ballaghaderreen - after anger over the potential loss of 47 car-parking spaces.

A leading businessman is calling for a revised public realm enhancement plan for Strokestown.

It's after ten Roscommon politicians wrote to Roscommon County Council to seek a new plan for Ballaghaderreen - after anger over the potential loss of 47 car-parking spaces.

An €8 million project is planned for Strokestown and it's currently at tender stage.

Frank Hanly, from Hanly's Eurospar in the town, says it would also lead to the loss of parking.
