The historic Boyle Post Office will close its doors for the final time today after over a hundred years in operation.
An Post last year confirmed that the postal service will continue at a new location from Tuesday next.
Paul Henry Kelly of Kelly's SuperValu will become the town's new postmaster, taking over the role from Paul Forde.
Mr Forde is retiring after 30 years' service to Boyle Post Office and 18 years as its postmaster.
