Boyle postmaster Paul Forde has announced he is running for Independent Ireland in the local elections in the Boyle Municipal District, which also includes Strokestown and Ballaghaderreen. The 59-year-old lives in Kingsland, Boyle, where he runs a small beef farm with his wife Maureen.
Roscommon-Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice is also a member of Independent Ireland. Speaking to Let's Talk, Paul says he decided it was time to work towards change himself:
