Boyle is in line for a major boost today, with a stage of Ireland's biggest cycling event finishing in the town. The first stage of Rás Tailteann will end in the north Roscommon town this afternoon.
It starts in Drogheda and also goes through Carrigallen, Mohill and Carrick-on-Shannon. Almost 150 Irish and international cyclists will take part - and one of the organisers, Carmel Regan, says it's a big boost to Boyle:
