A total of 72 former acts have singed a letter to the European ­Broadcasting Union, urging Israel to be banned from the event, over the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

A former Eurovision winner says contestants should pull out of this year's song competition over Israel's involvement.

Russia has been banned since 2022 following the country's invasion of Ukraine.

Charlie McGettigan, who won the Eurovision song contest in 1994, says this year's acts should boycott the event if the organisers don't remove Israel:
