Planning permission has been granted for a significant expansion of a well known Leitrim primary school.
Scoil Mhuire National School in Bornacoola had applied for a single story extension to include two new special education needs units and two main stream classrooms.Plans also include a new layout to the east end and external soft play area, a new secondary entrance from the public road and additional parking and bicycle spaces.
Included in the application are revisions to existing hard and soft playground facilities, landscaping, drainage and all ancillary works.The Board of Management have received permission for the development with 6 conditions attached.
