The Mass will honour five decades of dedicated service by boards of management, whose role has been central to the governance, development and faith life of Catholic primary schools across both dioceses.

Catholic Schools Week, which runs from 18-24 January, is celebrated nationwide and highlights the unique contribution of Catholic schools to education and society.

This year's theme, "Catholic Schools: Normal Lives, Called to Holiness," reflects the vocation of students, teachers, parents and school leaders to live out Gospel values in everyday life.

The Jubilee Mass will bring together school leaders, board members past and present, clergy, teachers and members of the wider community to give thanks for the commitment and generosity shown over the past 50 years.
