A local butcher says bird flu hasn't impacted turkey sales too much this Christmas.
There were outbreaks among turkey flocks in the likes of Carlow and Meath last month.
That lead to concerns that there would be a shortage of turkeys for sale this month.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Martin Monaghan runs a butcher shop on Killashee Street in Longford Town.
He says he hasn't encountered too many problems in the lead up to Christmas.
