Ballaghaderreen has been awarded new creative places funding from the Arts Council, as part of a €1.1 million national investment in arts and culture.
The west Roscommon town is one of three communities moving into a three-year creative places programme, each receiving €310,000 to grow local creativity and participation.
The initiative supports towns that haven't previously benefited from sustained arts investment-helping them build lasting cultural connections.
In Ballaghaderreen, the funding will build on the town's vibrant mix of music, craft and intercultural arts-celebrating creativity at the heart of community life.
