Ballaghaderreen residents shape town’s future at workshop

Over 70 people took part in a community workshop in Ballaghaderreen last Thursday evening to help shape the town’s future.

The community-led process aims to develop a practical strategy for Ballaghaderreen, guided by residents, local stakeholders, and expert advice on design and funding.

Participants generated nearly 200 ideas and identified seven priority areas for development.

Residents are invited to submit further input by midnight on Monday, 10th November.

Organisers say the feedback will now be used to create a community-led strategy for Ballaghaderreen.

Speaking to Shannonside FM News, the Chair of Ballaghaderreen Town Team, Niamh McGarry, reflected on what made the workshop such a success.
