The average annual earnings for people living in the Shannonside region last year is just over €41,000.
The data was revealed in a recent CSO report.
The Central Statistics Office provided a breakdown of last year's incomes per county.
Roscommon holds the highest figure in the region, with average earnings of €42,476 in the county.
This number is followed by Leitrim, where the mean income received in 2023 was €40,976.
Meanwhile, the average earnings were slightly lower in Longford, at a total of €40,159.
Nationally, the highest earners are living in Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow.
Statisticians found Dublin had the highest median annual earnings last year, at just over 47,800 euro.
The lowest incomes were recorded in Donegal, Monaghan and Kerry.
