An Athlone woman will speak at the European Commission today in effort to change laws around access to driving licences.
Meave Kelly from Coosan was involved in a fatal road collision in 2016 which involved a man who was suffering from severe mental illness.
She believes new laws need to be introduced which would temporarily remove a driver's licence if they were found to be enduring a profound mental disorder.

While in Brussels, the Athlone campaigner will address three workshops alongside the European Federation of Road Traffic Victims.
