A local football club has expressed its disappointment following a recent burglary from it's ground. Athlone Town Football Club reported last Friday that electrical equipment with an estimated value of €3,000 was stolen from the stadium. The club say that the equipment is vital to the online streaming of matches and the theft has led to the club being unable to broadcast multiple games.
It's believed that one person is responsible for the theft of the equipment. Speaking to Let's Talk earlier today, club secretary David Dully said it was extremely disappointing to be talking about another burglary from the clubs premises. He also appealed to anyone who may have any information to contact local Gardaí in Athlone or provide the information to the club directly:
