Residents in Athlone are being asked to check their property as part of efforts to locate a 54 year old man missing from his home in south Roscommon since the 16th of this month.
Sean Spellman from Taughmaconnell left his home on Saturday afternoon and was last seen later that evening in Athlone where he had gone to do errands.
Extensive searches have already taken place in Athlon without success and gardai are appealing for anyone who might have seen Sean on the Saturday afternoon to contact them as they try to piece together his movements.
