Almost €950,000 worth of funding was announced this week for arts organisations, arts centres and local authorities in the Shannonside region.
The funding represents more than half of the Arts Council's annual investment.
Longford received the largest allocation locally, with €433,000 going to various groups.

Backstage Theatre will receive €275,000, Longford County Council will receive €80,000 whilst €78,000 is going to LD Dance Shawbrook.
In Leitrim, The Dock in Carrick on Shannon will receive €156,000 whilst Leitrim County Council has been alloacted €105,000.
Finally in Roscommon, The Roscommon Arts Centre is set to benefit from just over €164,000 worth of funding whilst Roscommon County Council are set to receive €87,000.
