Aontú has announced two local candidates to contest the next General Election.
Laura O'Neill has been selected to represent the party in the Longford-Westmeath Constituency whilst Graham Monaghan will run in Sligo-Leitrim.
Both ran in the local elections earlier this year.

Party Leader Peadar Toibin believes Laura and Graham are strong candidates going into the next election:
Deputy Toibin also thinks that the General Election will be called for November.

The Meath-West TD confirmed to Shannonside FM News that Aontú plans to run a candidate in every constituency and believes the party is well prepared for the election:
