One of Anthony Waldron's closest supporters is backing Gail Murray to take his vacant Roscommon council seat.
Today is the deadline for people to enter the race - and councillors will pick the successful candidate on May 26th.
So far, Ballintubber's Michael Holland Senior and Gail Murray, Donamon's Mairead Kenny, and Monksland's Ernie Draper are the confirmed candidates.
