Another female councillor is needed in Roscommon for greater gender balance.
That's according to Ballintober's Gail Murray, who is bidding to replace deceased councillor Anthony Waldron.
Ballintober's Michael Holland Senior is among the other candidates - and councillors will have the final say in two weeks' time.
