Fine Gael Councillor Maeve Reynolds has been elected as the new Cathaoirleach of the Carrick on Shannon Municipal District.
She was elected for the first time in last year's local elections.
The new Leas Cathaoirleach will be Independent Councillor Enda Stenson.
