Almost 80 waiting for a bed at local hospitals

There were almost 80 patients waiting for a bed at local hospitals this morning.

That's according to the INMO's latest trolley watch report.

Monday's figures show there 63 patients waiting in Sligo University Hospital.

This included 30 in the emergency department and 33 on wards elsewhere.

Meanwhile, there were 5 patients waiting at Portiuncula and 11 in the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
