Almost 50 patients waiting for a bed at local hospitals

There are 48 people waiting on hospital beds this morning in the Shannonside North Sound region, according to today's INMO Trolley Watch.

4 admitted patients in Cavan General Hospital and 6 patients in Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar are waiting in the emergency department.

Meanwhile, 38 admitted patients across both the emergency department and and in wards elsewhere are waiting on a bed in Sligo University Hospital.

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for beds with 66, followed by University Hospital Galway with 52.
